Planet Earth Photography and God's Heavenly Canvas: Pain and Love: Rhett's last day

Our sweet Rhett (lover boy), rescued from under a house on Music Row with all sorts of things wrong with him and nearly starving. We took this 3/4 pound wild fur baby to our vet, had him treated and he has been our little love ever since. 💓

Woke about 5:00 AM, thought our sick kitty needed comfort. Laid him across my chest for a long time, told him how much we love him and prayed for him. Put him back in his little bed in the chair beside us.

Woke again a couple of hours later, laid him across my chest again and he was on his way to heaven. His daddy and I had a long cry. Jason cleaned him up and we wrapped him up and we each gave him personal items so our essence, part of our souls will stay with him until we meet again in the afterworld.

His pretty little fur body limp, he died looking at us. He's been staying in my lap and staring at me the last few weeks.

Rhett was diagnosed with kidney disease 3 years ago. His health went down this past month, especially the past week. He lost 1/3 of his body weight in a little over two months. We tried everything to bring him back from this crash; medicine, holistic medicine, took him to the vet repeatedly, gave him fluids under his skin, fed and watered him with a dropper , b-12, vitamin mixture, aromatherapy, massage, made a little bed for him lined with cozy towels it so he would be comfortable and changed him constantly. We gave him a good bath two days before he left for the afterlife. But the most important thing we gave him to try to save his life was the refusal to euthanize (kill) him, round the clock care and all of our love.

We don't have our own children, and our adoption fell though last year because of an evil lying person. Our pets are our children so we have lost our son. This is the worst day of our life.

We had him for just shy of twenty years, a couple of years before we married. Our hearts are broken.

Prayer: Please God take care of him until we see him again.

Damn kidney disease, damn it to hell. Our little fur baby didn't deserve to go this way.

Mom and Dad will love you forever, there is a hole in our hearts that can never be filled until we see you in the after life. We are devestated from losing you but blessed to have your in our lives for the past 20 years. You are such a special sweet kitty. You were a daddy and protector to the other kitties and the most beautiful boy in the world. Truly gorgeous. Animals are kinder and better than 99.999999999% of humans.

Bless your soul, I love you with all my heart. Most loved kitty in the world. 💔💘💞
